Day 1: Austin

Arrived in Austin at 10:30am. Ryan decided to grow a mustache in honor of the Texas tour and thus we are officially naming this week’s shows the “Hair to Stay Tour.” Proceeded to wait in line for 30 min for a rental car that is costing me almost as much as my plane ticket here. Napped ALL day! Met my sister who flew in from New York to be here as my “official” photographer at our hotel. Then napped some more between the occasional Oreo cookie for sustenance. Finally headed downtown later in the day for Tex-Mex. Met up with Kona Chang and his conga player John on 6th street. Found Gary Chun who writes for the Star Bulletin. Then walked in the rain to see 2 of the venues we will be playing this week… Submerged and Roy’s. Can’t wait!
